Praying against reproach

Welcome my beloved. Today we will be focusing on prayer, more especially praying against reproach. As we all know prayer is paramount to a believers success (all-round success) and necessary for spiritual growth. It is unfortunate that we find ourselves today in a trying period where there is so much hunger in the land. The land today is filled with reproach.
First, what do we mean by reproach?
Reproach means a lot of things. It means to suffer shame, it means embarrassment. Reproach is a situation that makes people ask you "Where is your God?". It also means dishonor. One can be living in so much wealth yet he/she is living in reproach because he/she lacks joy, lacks good health, lacks peace and so on. Reproach is a life turned upside down.
In our text today, Hannah was living in reproach. The bible made us understand that she was suffering deep in anguish. She was mocked, debased etc even though she was the first wife. First wives usually enjoyed certain privileges which she enjoyed from her husband but that did not provide her peace, nor joy. I pray that God will deliver us from every form of reproach in Jesus name. Say amen to that. It is when you understand what reproach is, then you will know how to pray. Now that you have understood what reproach is, the next question is how do you come of it? My people, the only way to come out of a life of reproach is through prayer. And how do you pray? You pray with the authority and name of Jesus Christ. But before you can pray yourself out of such situation, you must first make peace with God by surrendering all to God. You must become a child of God by accepting you are a sinner, confessing your sins (name them) and asking for forgiveness from God.
Read Isaiah 45:3 and pray in line with the scripture. Also, take down the following prayer points to pray in your quiet time:
- Pray that every spirit of reproach be roasted and destroyed by the power of the Holy Spirit
- Pray for the treasures hidden in the darkness and secret places
- Pray for the door of favour to be opened unto you
- Pray for the door of grace to be opened unto you
- The race is not to the swift neither is it to the strong or wise but time and chance happen to them all.
- God is the creator of time and chance and He gives it to whom He pleases. Now pray to God to cause time and chance to happen to you.
